Location. The 1930s Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel is within one block of Wenceslas Square in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one-and-a-half kilometres from Vysehrad, the city's birthplace. The nearest metro is Muzeum, and Prague Ruzyne Airport (PRG) is 10 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The "in" hotel during Prague's jazz age, the Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel's 1930s image has been recreated. Throughout, the decor includes rich Italian marble, weighty chandeliers and creamy "milk glass". Amenities include concierge and 24-hour limousine service.

The hotel's 24-seat restaurant, Alcron, serves fresh seafood amid Art Deco surroundings, including an original marble fireplace, etched glass wall, a curved wall featuring jazz-age New York City and purple velvet chairs. La Rotonde is a 130-seat restaurant with curved banquettes, wrought-iron screens and Art Deco posters. It offers a buffet breakfast (surcharge), Sunday jazz brunch, international dishes for lunch and dinner, and summer barbecues on the terrace. Filled with deep 1930s-look sofas, black leather banquettes and chequered wooden barstools, Bebop hosts local live jazz three nights a week.

The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel's business facilities include meeting rooms, ballroom for 150 people, and complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas.

Leisure facilities include a well- equipped fitness centre, sauna and solarium. The hotel has a tobacco shop on site.

Guestrooms. The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel's 211 air-conditioned guestrooms have Art Deco- style fittings and prints. All rooms have complimentary wireless Internet access, flatscreen TVs, minibars and safes.

Expert Tip. One of Prague's finest "pasazy" (passages), the Lucerna Arcade, between Stepanska and Vodickova, is an Art Deco wonder.

From Prague Ruzyne Airport (PRG):
Distance to Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel is 10 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Registered taxis wait outside the Arrivals hall and cost about 600 CZK-900 CZK (22 EUR-32 EUR) to the city centre. Minibuses depart from outside the Arrivals hall and run to Namesti Republiky square, in the city centre. The single fare is 90 CZK per person. Bus numbers 119 and 254 run to Dejvicka, the airport's closest metro station. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, and single tickets cost 20 CZK (1 EUR). Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel is on Stepanska, one block from Wenceslas Square. Prague's historic centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, as many roads are pedestrianised. There is an efficient and inexpensive public transport system, including trams, buses, metro, and a funicular railway. Tickets are available from tobacconists, stations, and many hotel reception desks, and can be used on all modes of transport. Five of the major metro stations have information offices, with schedules, maps, and directions. There is an onsite parking garage at the hotel (surcharge).
